My research focuses on cognitive deficits associated with depression and PTSD as well as certain neuropsychological conditions such as Asperger Syndrome and closed head injury. In particular I am interested in qualitative changes in autobiographical memory retrieval and problem-solving abilities that occur with these disorders.

I am looking at how autobiographical memory retrieval and problem-solving abilities develop in both normal and depressed children and adolescents in order to understand the origins of these cognitive deficits. Some of my research is also focusing on interventions that may improve cognitive deficits observed.
